Victoria M. Serwatka, 92
LYNN — Victoria M. (Kavaleski) Serwatka, 92, of Lynn, beloved wife of the late Edwin P. Serwatka and loving daughter of the late Michael and Sophie Kavaleski, died at home Oct. 13 with her daughters and family at her side.
Born, raised and educated in Waltham, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Waltham, and a resident for 20 years prior to moving to Lynn. She was employed with the Greater Lynn Senior Service for 15 years.
Victoria accomplished much in her life, she was past president of the PLAV Chapter 56, recipient of Polish Woman of the Year 1987, former communicant of St. Michael’s Church of which she served as a Eucharistic Minister, St. Michael’s PNA Lodge 30, St. Michael’s Retirees, the Holy Rosary Sodality, member of the Lynn Council on Aging, and for 50 years she was Chapter 56 representative to the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Victoria is survived by her daughters, Diane M. McFarland and her husband Andrew of Lancaster, N.H., Paula M. Joyal and her husband Sonny of Lynn; her grandchildren, Michelle Zayac and her husband Jeffrey of Lynn, Danielle Desilets and her husband Richard; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Deanna, Madison; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Chester J. Kavaleski, Walter Kavaleski, Albert Kavaleski, Carol M. Kavaleski, sister Edna Serwatka and grandson Brad Trahan.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service from the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, on Thursday at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
