On Sept. 7, 2018 Timothy Frances Eagan Jr., 88, passed away from complications related to a fall and ongoing progressive Dementia.

Born on June 19, 1931 and raised in Lynn, he attended school at St. Mary’s of Lynn and at the age of 16, enlisted in the Marines (1947-1949) and then re-enlisted in the Navy (1951-1955). Married Gloria Boyd, also from Lynn, and raised three children, Michael, Cheryl and David in Lynnfield. Retired with his wife Gloria in Stuart, Fla. There was no better salesman then Tim Eagan, who had a successful career representing companies like National Semiconductor, Dynamics Research Corporation; but his biggest thrill was starting a rewarding Manufactures Rep Company, Eagan Associates.

Tim was larger than life, gregarious, hilarious, life of the party. His greatest love aside from family and friends was his love of sailing. Some of his fondest memories were sailing with friend Bill Monroe.

Survived by his loving family, wife Gloria; sons Michael and wife Jane, grandsons Mike Jr. and wife Micaela, Billy and wife Kara, and granddaughter Meredith, son David and wife Kara, granddaughter Sophia; and daughter Cheryl and husband Nick Mericic, grandsons Dustin, Christopher, and Johnathan.

Special thanks to the staff at Salerno Bay Rehab Center in Stuart, Fla. for their loving care and kindness to our Dad in his final days.

Service information: As it was Tim’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and a private family burial is planned.
