Susan M. Barry, 56

LYNN — Susan M. (Tardiff) Barry, age 56, of Lynn, died on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of Peter M. Barry, with whom she shared more than 27 years of marriage.

Born in Manchester, N.H., in 1962, Sue was the daughter of Ronald Tardiff of Manchester, N.H., and the late Patricia (Mooney) Cooper and her late husband Edward. She graduated from Lynn Tech and has lived in Lynn for more than 45 years.

Sue loved taking care of people and worked as a CNA for more than 20 years at a number of local nursing homes including Phillips Manor Nursing Home in Lynn where she was the office manager until her retirement. In her earlier years, she spent many summers vacationing with her family at Old Orchard Beach and later enjoyed camping in Harrison, Maine. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and the Dominican Republic and loved spending time at Nahant Beach soaking up the sun. If she wasn’t cleaning something at home, Sue could be found doing what she loved most, spending time with her beloved family.

In addition to her husband Peter and father Ronald, Sue is survived by her loving children and their significant others, Christopher Barry and Rachael of Lynn, Peter Barry Jr. and Shayna of Lynn, Amanda Wheaton of Lynn and Ashley Wheaton and Kevin of Lynn; her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Rylie, Brayden and Zoey; her siblings, Barbara Tardiff of Wakefield, Jason Tardiff and Stephanie Tardiff; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Susan and Robert McFarlane, Patricia and Kevin Burke and John and Colleen Barry; and her many nieces and nephews.
