Scott T. Brackett, 52
Scotty Brackett, born Scott Timothy Brackett, age 52, died on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, after being stricken at his home, hours after the death of his mother. Scotty was the husband of Laurie Brackett and son of Raymond Jr. and the late Mary J. (Chandler) Brackett.
Scotty was born and raised in Lynn and was a Fire Sprinkler Foreman for the family business, Brackett and Associates Fire Sprinklers.
Scotty’s passing came as an absolute shock to his friends and family who had just spent the day consoling Scotty as he learned of his Mother’s passing and grieved his loss.
Those who knew Scotty were a witness to the wild and crazy side of his dynamic personality and joyful to experience the absolute crazy love he had for his family and friends. Scotty truly had a heart of gold and boasted a loud and distinct laugh that would let you know Scotty was present in a room without ever seeing him. His friends knew that at any time Scotty was always there for them to stand shoulder to shoulder in support of his friends and family.
Scott had many passions and his love for a Harley Davidson was foremost. Scotty owned many bikes over the years and loved riding as often as he could Scotty had many talents and had a nuance for tinkering and could fix anything mechanical that his capable hands encountered. Scotty also had a knack for breaking anything he touched. His legacy is loved and cherished by those that knew Scotty the dearest.
We all love Scotty and will miss him dearly. Scotty’s legacy teaches us not to waste the love of your friends and family, and to live life to the fullest and to pursue your life without restriction and without boundries.
In addition to his wife Laurie and his father Raymond Jr., Scotty is the father of Jacob Brackett of Florida, Amber Oliver and her companion Lasana Harper of Boston, and Ryan Freeman of Australia; loving grandfather of Ariana, Ryan Jr., D.J. and Auriel; brother of Raymond Bracket III and his companion Dawn Spencer of Groton, John Brackett and his wife Debra of Peabody and Amy Germain and her late husband Paul of Lynn. Scott was Godfather to nephew Ryan Brackett and his niece Jessica Germain. Scotty is also survived by several wonderful nieces, nephews, and extended family and close friends.
Service information: A memorial service for Scott and his mother Mary will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m., prior to the memorial service.
