Former Catholic Charities employeeNORTH ANDOVER – Mrs. Rose (Rembisz) Doane, age 88, of North Andover, formerly of Lynn, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at her home following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harvard Doane.Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Marcin and Anna (Oleksiak) Rembisz. She had lived in Lynn for the majority of her life.She had previously worked as a school cook and lunch aide and for Catholic Charities daycare.She was an avid Bingo and slots player, who enjoyed bowling. She was active in politics and in the Warren Civic Association. She loved her grandchildren.She is survived by four children, Fred Doane and his wife Susan, of North Andover, Lawrence Doane and his wife Mary, of Raymond, N.H., Michael Doane, and his wife Susan, of Byfield and Marilyn Donovan, and her husband Robert, of Saugus; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her good friend Claire Nelson, of Lynn; and her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Mills and Dorothy Greski, and her husband John, all of Lynn. She was also the mother of the late John (Harvey) Doane and the sister of the late Blanche Starion, and John V. Rambis.Service information: Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129) Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Saugus. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
