Robert A. Turner, 63
PEABODY — Robert Allen Turner, age 63, of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Tuesday in Salem Hospital.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of Allen V. and Priscilla (Bartol) Turner. He was raised in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, Class of 1974. He had also lived in Lynn before moving to Peabody nearly 20 years ago.
Robert had worked as a taxi driver for Tri-City Taxi in Peabody. He loved watching sports, especially the Patriots. He was an avid softball player and was past president of Pine Hill Little League. He was a hard worker and will be remembered as a great Dad and Grandpa.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two children, Nick Turner and Christine Gangi and her husband James; two grandchildren; Devyni Murphy and Caleb Gangi; his former wife, Arlene Surette Turner; his siblings, David Turner, Debra Walsh and her husband David, Steven Turner and his wife Teri, Wendy Thomas and her husband Tim, Cynthia Vickers and her husband Andrew, Melissa Turner and Brian Turner; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Turner.
Service information: A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-6 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, with a memorial service beginning at 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
