Retired teacherLYNN – Richard N. Bogannam, 64, of Lynn, died Thursday in West Roxbury VA Hospital after a lengthy illness.Born in Methuen, son of Yvonne E. (Shible) Bogannam of Methuen and the late Ferris Bogannam, he was a graduate of Tenney High School, Methuen, Class of 1961. He then received his certificate from Franklin Tech in 1968. He also attended Fitchburg State. He resided in Lynn for most of his life, previously residing in Peabody and Methuen.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.He was employed at Lynn Vocational Technical High School, where he taught Electricity from 1973 until his retirement in 1992.He had his pilots license and enjoyed flying small planes, was a certified electrician and a member of Chapter 64 DAV.In addition to his mother, he leaves two daughters, Lisa Talavera and her husband Alex of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Kerrie Chan of Silver Springs, Md.; two brothers, Danny Bogannam and his wife Christine of Eliot, Maine and Kenneth Bogannam and his wife Maryanne of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Ezra Talavera and Mya Chan and several nieces and nephews.Service information: Funeral from the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, Saturday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 9 a.m. Interment will be private.
