KINGSTON, N.H. — Paul Rosario St Laurent passed away on Jan. 9, 2018, at his home in Kingston, N.H. surrounded by his family and his beloved dogs Buddy and Dylan and cat Hannah. He is the husband of Mrs. Denise M. (Hamilton) St Laurent. He was born in Peabody the son of the late Rosario and Julia C. (Cushman) St. Laurent. Paul was a graduate of St. Jean Baptiste School. He Lived in Lynn most of his life and the past 20 years in Kingston, N.H.

Following his graduation from the St. Jean Baptiste High School in Lynn, Paul entered the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. Once out of the Air Force, Paul returned to his beloved Lynn.

Paul went on to work as an aircraft mechanic and welder for both Eastern Airlines and, later on, United Airlines. He founded Marine Welding and Ocean Welding both of Lynn and was known as an expert in aluminum and heliarc welding. One of his proudest accomplishments was serving as the Ward 5 City Councilor in Lynn, 1974-75 and 1983-87. He took great pride in his city and was proud to serve.

Paul was an avid New England sports fan. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council 70 in Lynn and a member of the Franco American Post 12 and Post 161 in Lynn

In addition to his wife with whom he shared 19 years of marriage he leaves his four daughters, Michele Collins and her husband Patrick of Strafford N.H., Lisa Guay and her husband Don of Peabody, Catherine DiPietro and her husband John of Peabody and Susan St Laurent of Lynn. He leaves seven grandchildren, Elise Guay and Army Sergeant Alex Guay, Julia and Kathleen Collins, Lucas and David DiPietro and Jonathan St Laurent. He is the brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Webber of Yorktown, Va. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Service information: His funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route129) Lynn followed by a memorial Mass in St. Pius V Church, Lynn at 11 a.m. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
