PhlebotomistLYNN – Mitchell S. Lewis, 59, of Lynn, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Union Hospital following a brief illness. He was the loving companion of Barbara Porter Keyes, with whom he shared seven years.Born and raised in Westchester, Pa., he was the son of the late John William and Barbara (Tilghman) Lewis. He resided in Boston for many years prior to moving to Lynn 10 years ago.Mitchell was a Vietnam veteran, having served with the U.S. Army.He was a certified phlebotomist.Mitchell enjoyed antiquing, flea markets, Motown music and spending time with family. A tall, strong, quiet man, he was always the optimist. His special wink and smile would make you feel everything is alright.In addition to his companion, he is survived by his daughter, Micaela Robinson; a brother, John Lewis of Boston; a sister, Kathleen Burgeous of East Boston; his companion’s parents, Bob and Barbara Porter of Seabrook and Danvers; five nephews, one aunt and many cousins.Service information: A funeral service will be held in the GOODRICH Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Friday at noon followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation on Friday 10-12.
