Mason J. Heuston, 61
PEABODY — Mason James “Rusty” Heuston, age 61, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, following a difficult battle with Multiple System Atrophy. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Justice) Heuston, with whom he shared more than 33 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn in 1957, he was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Milliken) Heuston. Rusty graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in 1976. He worked as a mechanic before and after graduating from Fitchburg State University. He later returned to Lynn Tech as an automotive technology teacher for more than 20 years. He loved his job and his students.
Rusty’s dry sense of humor always made everyone laugh. Rusty loved fishing and cruising on his many boats, playing guitar, and cheering on the Patriots, Celtics and Red Sox. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family. Rusty was a supportive father, cheering his children on at every sporting event and activity. He was an incredibly loving husband and dad, and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Mason is survived by his two children, Allison Virginia Heuston of Springfield and Matthew Edward Heuston of Peabody; and his siblings, Edward Heuston and his wife Jackie of Middleton, and Arlene Lennon and her husband Ed of Methuen. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends.
