Mary F. Bansfield, 86
LYNN — Mary “Flossie” Florence Bansfield, 86, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away on Oct. 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lynn on May 16, 1933 to her beloved parents Raymond L. Brackett and Iva Mary (Drew) Brackett. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Bansfield, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Flossie was a lifelong Lynn resident who worked as a cafeteria worker at various Lynn public schools for many years. After her retirement she was able to spend more time on what she liked the most. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and being able to slip away to the casinos to play craps. She was always there for everyone, making sure to go to every game and event that the grandkids participated in.
Flossie is survived by her loving children, Gail A. Walter and her husband Don of North Carolina, Bonnie J. Fournier and her husband Mark of Lynn, Karen M. Bansfield of Peabody, Tracey L. Vaccaro and her husband Thomas of Beverly; the doting grandmother of James Brown and his wife Heather, Cheri Black and her husband Keith, Thomas Brown and his wife Jennifer Foster, Ian Martin, Nicole Fournier, Bryan Fournier and his wife Danielle, Keith Fournier and his wife Jeanine, Aaron Freeman and his wife Ruth, Heather Freeman, T. Evan Vaccaro, Colby Vaccaro; and her 12 great-grandchildren, the cherished sister of Donna L. Hartford and her late husband Daniel of Peabody, the late Raymond L. Brackett and his late wife Mary, the late Pauline Quellette, her late husband James, and her many nieces and nephews.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 4-8 p.m. at CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Her funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
