Marion Bonarrigo, 94
SWAMPSCOTT — Mrs. Marion Elizabeth (Spadafora) Bonarrigo, age 94 of Swampscott died peacefully on Friday Aug. 16, 2019 at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Anthony Bonarrigo with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Fitchburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jeannette (Secino) Spadafora. Marion had lived in Swampscott for over 70 years.
For many years Marion had owned a custom draperies business in Marblehead. She enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband, spending time with family and friends, Japanese Bunka Embroidery, and attending the Senior Center on Silsbee Street in Lynn. Marion was a past president of the former Italian Club of Swampscott.
She is survived by two children; Annette M. Turner and her husband Stephen of Swampscott and Carmen M. Bonarrigo and his wife Ann of Wilmington, four grandchildren; Christine Bonarrigo and Bariyyah Lawrence of Marshfield, Anthony Bonarrigo and Anjean of Salem, NH, Douglas Bonarrigo and Heather of Salem, NH, and Gregory Turner and Emily of Salem, and five great grandchildren; Lauryn Bonarrigo, Camryn Bonarrigo, Kyle Anthony Bonarrigo, Austin Bonarrigo, and Colton Bonarrigo. She was also the sister of the late Michael Spadafora and Roselin Dateo.
Marion’s family wishes to thank to staff at the Rosewood Nursing Home for the care given their mother over the past four years.
Service information: Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home 67 Ocean Street (RTE1A0, Lynn. Burial will follow in Swampscott Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
