Former president/CEO of Lynn Screw Corp.MARBLEHEAD – Mr. Macklen Kleiman, 93, of Marblehead, died on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at Union Hospital in Lynn following a long illness. He was the husband of Ida (Maletz) Kleiman.Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna (Kaufman) Kleiman. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1931 and received a degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Class of 1935.He served as president/CEO of the former Lynn Screw Corp. on Mount Vernon Street in Lynn from 1949 to 2004.He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Masonic Lodge, the Lynn Rotary Club, the Lynn Chamber of Commerce and many civic organizations. He was an honorary life member of the Board of Directors of Temple Beth El and a member of their choral group in Swampscott.Mr. Kleiman also leaves a son, Steven L. Kleiman of Arlington; a daughter, Terry S. Kleiman of Boston; a brother, Louis Kleiman of Newton; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ruth Scholnick, Freida Mindlin and Joseph and Benjamin Kleiman.Graveside services will be held at the Cong. Shirat Hayam Cemetery, Temple Beth El Section, Lowell Street, Peabody on Sunday at 3 p.m. Arrangements by the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, Salem.
