Linda D. Doucette, 66

Mrs. Linda D. (Calef) Doucette, age 66, and a native of Lynn, died on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, after a long illness, surrounded by her family and friends. She is the wife of Mr. Hervie J. Doucette.

Linda was born in Lynn in 1953, the daughter of the late Daniel B. and Barbara A. (Bates) Calef. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. She has lived in Danville, N.H., since 1984. Linda enjoyed traveling to see her grandchildren, spending time with her family, cooking and entertaining. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother. She had a passion for helping people and worked as a licensed nursing assistant for more than 35 years and retired from the Riverwood’s retirement community, Exeter N.H., in 2013.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage, she is survived by her daughter, Christina D. (Doucette) Stack and Major Jason E. Stack, U.S. Air Force; and her two grandchildren, Rose and Lilly Stack, all of Alexandria, Va. Linda is also survived by her brother, Daniel B. Calef Jr. and his wife Ellen of Danville, N.H.; and two nephews, Daniel B. Calef III, his wife Elaine, and daughters Ashley and Sydney of Goffstown, N.H., and fireman apprentice Ralph F. Calef, U.S. Navy, of Norfolk, Va. In addition, she is survived by her mother-in-law, Lina G. (Cassie) Doucette of Lynn, her children Edward A. Doucette of Haverhill, Richard R. Doucette of Lynn, John W. Doucette of Middleton, Paul E. Doucette of Lynn and Gloria A. (Doucette) Coleman of Haverhill, their spouses, many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is the daughter-in-law of the late Joseph E. Doucette of Lynn.

Service information: Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
