John J. Fiore, 61

NAHANT — Mr. John J. “Jack” Fiore, 61 years, of Nahant, died suddenly in Salem Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. He was the husband of Susan (O’Connor) Fiore. 

He was born in Somerville, the son of the late Joseph and Ann (Long) Fiore. He was raised in Nahant and lived in Nahant all of his life. He attended Nahant schools and was a graduate of Lynn Tech High School.

Jack was a self-employed tradesman for most of his life, “Jack of all trades” was his calling card. He was a former Class 1 truck driver. He loved the outdoors including fishing, swimming off Nahant Rocks, RVing, camping and hanging around a fire pit with family and good friends. He also loved four-wheeling on an ATV with his children, although he wasn’t very good at it. Above all he was a loving and devoted grandfather.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Kerriann Robertson and her partner BJ Middleton of Lynn, Kearstin Rock and her husband Joseph of Lynn, Joseph Fiore and his wife Jessica of Raymond, N.H., Karena Fiore of Lynn, Scott Fiore of Lynn and  Dan McClung of Los Angeles, Calif.; his grandchildren, Michael, Meegan, Mark, Joey, Tira, Amber, Teressa, Danny, Dianna, Brianna and Haleigh; his great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Jayce, Jasper and Amelia. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Paul M. Fiore and his partner Maggie Carroll of Nahant, Daniel J. Fiore and his wife Jeanne of Nahant, Joanne E. Swirka of North Conway, N.H., Janice Boyle and her husband Joseph of Everett, and Kathryn A Brown and her husband Thomas of Marshfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Service information: His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Private cremation followed by private burial.
