John F. Duggan, 80
SAUGUS — Mr. John F. Duggan, age 80, formerly of Lynn and Charlestown, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose on Wednesday, Feb. 6. He was the devoted husband of Cecelia (Samms) Duggan.
Born in Boston and raised in Charlestown, Mr. Duggan was the son of the late James and Julia (Burns) Duggan. John was the owner of John Duggan Contractors. He was a great poker player and also enjoyed boating and salt water fishing. He was a resident of Saugus for the past 45 years. He was a U.S. Air Force vet.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Duggan is survived by his two daughters, Catherine D. Sutherby and her husband Dan of Sudbury and Josephine Lee and her husband James of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Jaclyn, Nicholas and Kevin; one sister, Margaret “Peg” Walsh of Medford; three nephews, Ken, David and Steven; two nieces, Cheryl and Kim.

Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the BISBEE-PORCELLA Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Margaret’s Church, 431 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, at noon.
