John C. Kane Sr., 65
SAUGUS — Mr. John C. Kane Sr., age 65, died on Sunday, Aug. 19 in No. Berwick, Maine. He was the loving husband of Bonnie (Borland) Kane, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Malden and raised in Saugus, he was a resident of both Saugus and No. Berwick, Maine. John was the son of the late Robert and Johanna (Gleason) Kane. He was a graduate of Saugus High School. He retired as a deputy sheriff for Middlesex County in 2006.
In addition to his wife, John leaves five sons, John Kane Jr. and longtime friend Michele Solesky, Robert Kane and his wife Michelle, David Kane, Shawn Traversy and his wife Genevieve, Matthew Kane; three daughters, Pamela Dennison-Chiango, Makeda Sands, and Saramarie Holmes; one sister, Laura Kane; one brother, Frank Kane. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. He was the host father of Teiko Suzuki and Rioko Nakajima. He is predeceased by two brothers, Robert and David Kane.
