Jerome Patrick “Jerry” Gill, age 76 of Lynn, died on Friday July 5, 2019 at Salem Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Sandra (Durkee) Gill with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, Jerry was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Weeden) Gill. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force serving in Arizona and Guam in 1960 and 1961.
Jerry had worked at the GE Riverworks plant for 40 years as a welder and quality control tester. He was a strong union supporter and fought hard for many of the rights and benefits that workers receive today.
He was a loving, dedicated, and devoted husband and father. His greatest joy came from being with his family and tending to any needs that they may have.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons; Jerome Gill Jr. and his wife Nharlyn, Keith LeBlanc and his wife Stacey, and Philip “Butch” LeBlanc and his wife Noreen, his grandchildren; Annabelle Gill, Jerome Gill III, Jake LeBlanc, Aidan LeBlanc, Lauren LeBlanc, Julia LeBlanc, and Philip LeBlanc IV, and a great granddaughter Carter LeBlanc. He was also the brother of the late Patricia and Margaret LeBlanc.
At his request Funeral Services and burial in Puritan lawn Memorial Park were private.
