PEABODY — Jacqueline M. Levasseur, 93, of Peabody, passed away Wednesday evening at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the Richard Levasseur, Sr.
Jacqueline was born in Swampscott, MA, on September 14, 1925, daughter of the late Leo and Malvina (Saulnier) Grenier. She was raised in Lynn, and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, Class of 1942. She went on to attend Saint Elizabeth Nursing School, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Prior to her retirement in 1991, she worked as a solderer for the Analogic Corp. in Wakefield.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki Lewis & her husband Perry of Lynn; her grandchildren; Shawn and Cody Walsh, Justin, Brandon and Devin Lewis; her brother, Albert Grenier of Salem. She was predeceased by her son Richard T. Levasseur, Jr., her brothers Albert and James Grenier.
Service information: A visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1-3 P.M., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a service in the funeral home at 3 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to MGH/North Shore Cancer Center, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923.
