Dr. Irving H. Garber, DMD, formerly of Lynn and Marblehead, entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Ella (Lehrman) Garber.

Devoted father of Robin Kaufman and her husband Dr. Clark Kaufman, Dr. Michael Garber and his wife Lynn, Cindy Krowiak and her husband John, and Pauline Fisher and her husband David. Eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren to cherish his memory. The loving brother of Sippie Webman, the late Aaron Garber and the late Goldie Glickman. Dear son of the late Paul and Sarah Garber. 

Dr. Irving H. Garber graduated Lynn Classical High School and continued his education at the University of Maine and Tufts Dental School. He practiced general dentistry in Lynn for more than 40 years. He was an active member of Temple Sinai of Marblehead, JCC of both Lynn and Marblehead, the Jewish Federation, Kernwood Country Club in Salem and Boca Lago Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla. He truly enjoyed the time he spent at the Beit Chaim Meir Chabad Center of Lexington and was always an honored guest.

Service information: A funeral service for Irving will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at STANETSKY-HYMANSON Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem. Interment will follow at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lake Shore Road, Lynn.

Shiva will be held following interment at the Clubhouse of Ledgewood Condominiums, 14 Ledgewood Way, Peabody,  Thursday, Sept. 12 from 3-8 p.m., with a Minyan at 6:30 p.m. Shiva will continue on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the home of Cindy and John Krowiak from 8:30-10 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 15 at the home Dr. Michael and Lynn Garber from 3-8:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to The Beit Chaim Meir Chabad Center of Lexington, 9 Burlington St., Lexington, MA 02420.
