Edward T. Blanchette, 37
SWAMPSCOTT — Edward T. Blanchette, 37 years, of Swampscott, died May 19, 2019 after a long battle with drug addiction.
He was born in Lynn, the son of Richard and Darlene (Erskine) Blanchette and Thomas Lucier. He was raised in Lynn and Swampscott. He was a 2001 graduate of Swampscott High School and also attended Salem State College. He has lived most of his life in Swampscott.
He loved Star Wars, Dr. Who and Boston sports, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox. He was employed at Warby-Parker. He also worked for the Boston and Corinthian yacht clubs, Bertram House and Lynn Ladder.
In addition to his parents he leaves his siblings, Jessica Pena and her husband Juan of Swampscott, Lindsey Prudente and her husband John, Brian Lucier; his grandparents, Jack and Alice Lucier, Roger Blanchette. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Alexander and Abygail Pena, John and Pearl Prudente. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and his longtime friend, Jeff Bean of Swampscott. He is the grandson of the late Harland “Giggy” and Phyllis Erskine, and Maryanne Blanchette.
Service information: His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
