Edward G. Beller Jr., 86
Edward G. Beller Jr., age 86, passed away peacefully, on July 16, 2017 in Providence, R.I., after a short illness.
Ed was a native of Lynn and lived and worked there until he and his wife moved to Rhode Island to be closer to their sons. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Ed returned to Lynn to work many jobs for the city, including security guard at Lynn Hospital, sanitation worker, laborer at Pine Grove Cemetery, and most recently at the Lynn Water & Sewer Commission. He worked for the city for 58 years, retiring in 2015 at the age of 83.
Ed is survived by his wife, Carol (Marcotte) Beller; his sons, James and Jonathan Beller and James’ husband Jef Nickerson, all of Providence, R.I.
Service information: There will be an interment ceremony with military honors for Edward on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Korean War Veterans section of Pine Grove Cemetery. Family, friends, and co-workers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
