Edward E. Knowlton III, 68
WRENTHAM — Edward E. Knowlton III, of Wrentham and formerly a longtime resident of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Serenity Hill Nursing Center in Wrentham at the age of 68.
Born in Lynn on Sept. 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Edward E. Knowlton Sr. and the late Dorothy (Donahue). Ed was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1965.
He went on to dedicate many years of himself to his work as a social worker for both the City of Lynn as well as for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In his spare time, Ed loved to read books and cheer on the Boston sports teams. He was also a one-time member of the Franco American Club in Lynn.
Ed leaves his siblings, Joyce A. Perkins of Gloucester and David Knowlton of Lynn, as well as two nephews.
Service information: A memorial visitation will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Sunday, May 20 from 2-5 p.m. All other services will be held privately.
