LYNN — E. Lorraine (Collins) Clay, age 79, of Lynn, died Feb. 9, 2019.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Jr. and Gertrude (Campbell) Collins. She was a 1957 graduate of Lynn English High School and lived in Lynn all her life.
Lorraine was a florist. She owned Flowers of Expression before retiring in 1984. She loved her work with flowers and with local florists, including Tony the Florist and Gould’s Florist. She was a G.L.S.S. volunteer and was a supporter of the Chelsea Soldiers Home Library. Lorraine was a very active member of Franco-American War Veterans Post 12, Auxiliary.
She leaves her daughter, Kathy Carritte and her husband Joseph of Lynn; and a brother, Michael Collins and his wife, Sharon of Newton, N.H. The loves of her life were her grandchildren, Patrick, Sean, and Ryan Carritte; and her great-granddaughter, Rebecca. Lorraine also leaves her sister-in-law, Kathleen Collins of Georgetown; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, the late Patrick Collins.
Service information: Lorraine’s funeral will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
