Delores Luis, 77
LYNN — Delores Cosma (Dupuis) Luis, 77, of Lynn, passed away on Sept. 4, 2019.
Dolly was born in Lynn to Aurele and Margaret (Walsh) Dupuis. She was married to David Francis Lewis (deceased) and Jose Rosa Luis (deceased).
She was known as Dolly to her family and friends, but to her grandchildren, she will ever be known as their LaLa.
In her time here on Earth, she genuinely cared about everyone she met, whether it was on her phone or on FB with family and friends or even with strangers in a grocery store she would gab your ear off. Lala truly loved being in the moment. She loved taking plenty of time to look at ALL the bobbles and doodads in the stores or just admiring how beautiful it was outside. She loved giving gifts, especially the everyday little ones. As we all know, she loved to cook for everyone and arguably made the BEST mashed potatoes. Lala loved playing hostess, playing games, and was the center of much love and laughter.
Her family and friends were literally all she ever talked about — she loved each and every one of them. Lala is among the very sweetest memories in our hearts, and we are excited for the day we will be with her again.
Dolly is survived by her son Michael, his wife Rosario; nine grandchildren; and brother Donald and sisters Jan and Peggy. Preceded in death by her parents Aurele and Margaret, her brothers Thomas, Paul, Raymond, Eddie and Joseph, and her sisters Helen and Carole.
Service information: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lynnfield. Located at 400 Essex St., Lynnfield, MA 01940, the service will start at 11 a.m.
