Dale C. Trask
SWAMPSCOTT — Dale Cochren Trask, of Brewer, Maine, and Swampscott, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Nov. 11, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Tosney Trask; beloved son Conor and his wife Emily of Brookline; and adored daughter Gillian of Swampscott. Son of Bourke C. Trask and his wife Esther O’Brien Trask of Bangor, Maine; brother of Stephen B. Trask of Salem; predeceased by his mother, Arilla Whitehead Trask. Dale was a much-loved and cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend.
Born on July 4, 1957 in Washington, D.C., Dale graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and received his MBA from Babson College. An avid runner, Dale was an oft-recognized fixture — faithful dogs by his side — on the Marblehead Rail Trail. Dale was a gardener and painter who cherished being outdoors. He was also a natural athlete: marathoner, skier, tennis player, golfer, and a lover of hiking on Mt. Katahdhin. Summer was Dale’s favorite time of year and he enjoyed spending time at Preston Beach in Swampscott, swimming, sunning, reading, and kayaking.
Dale worked as a consultant to the biomedical industry and traveled to China, Europe and Russia and, when possible, brought his children along to share the experiences.
