LYNN — Catherine “Kitty” Berg, of Lynn, left this world peacefully Tuesday, just two days shy of her 90th birthday. She will now be reunited with her husband Jimmy and their cat Rusty. Kitty will be remembered lovingly for the thousands of hand-sewn crafts she has made over the years, her flawless Halloween costumes, for always matching her socks with her sweater and her lifelong passion for sledding.
Kitty is survived by her son, Stephen and wife, Nancy of Fayston, Vt.; daughter, Cathy Swindell of Ipswich; grandchildren, Nate and Katie Berg of Harvard, Liz Swindell of Waterbury, Vt., and Dan Swindell of Newburyport; and great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Jameson. She can rest assured knowing that all of her loved ones will be snuggling up in one of her famous “Grammy Blankets” tonight.
Service information: Her family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering our happy memories with Kitty, Saturday, April 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the Danversport Yacht Club. Arrangements made by the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. in Lynn. To share a memory or leave online condolences, please visit www.cuffemcginn.com.
