Brendon P. Landry, 42
LYNN — Brendon Patrick Landry, age 42, of Lynn, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 5.
Born in Lynn to Edward and Bette Landry (Nee Stackhouse), he is survived by his wife July Landry (DaSilva) and daughter Elza Jane, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Brian and his wife Ana Landry of Ipswich, Daniel of Lynn, and Ellen Landry of Lynn. He was the best, crazy Uncle to Moira, Eamonn, Colm, and Daniella. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brendon fought a long, arduous battle with addiction and PTSD. He proudly served in the United State Marine Corps after 9/11 with the 3rd Battalion 8th Marines India Company in Afghanistan among other places. The Marines and his daughter were Brendon’s two proudest accomplishments.
Brendon loved music of all kinds and played piano, and had recently started learning guitar. He was an avid reader of poetry and literature of all kinds, loved history and had an instinctive knack for languages, having learned Japanese, Farsi and Bengal amongst others after only short exposure. In addition, he was self-taught fluent in Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish. He was very unique, extremely intelligent and fiercely loyal. He will always be remembered as a kind soul who touched everyone he met in a special way and he is loved by everyone who knew him.
Service information: His funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the GOODRICH Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 5–7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a fund is being set up for Brendon’s daughter, all donations may be made to Elza Landry c/o July Landry, 192 Kennedy Drive, Apt. 404, Malden, MA 02148.
