Ann R. Leonard, 92

BEVERLY — Mrs. Ann Rosalie (Meagher) Leonard, 92, of Beverly, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House with her loving family at her side. She is the wife of the late Martin J. Leonard.

Ann was born Aug. 25, 1926 in Lynn, she is the daughter of the late Frank P. and Rose R. (Lannon) Meagher. She resided in Lynn for most of her life until moving to Beverly 20 years ago. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1944.

Ann was a real estate agent at A. James Lynch for many years until her retirement. She previously worked as an anesthesia technician at Lynn Hospital, an emergency room nurse’s aide and a secretary at Union Hospital.

Ann enjoyed golfing and was a member at Gannon Golf Course for many years. She was a longtime active communicant at St. Pius V Church and was also a member of the Sodality and was involved with the Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her children, James F. Leonard and his wife Rheba of Atlanta, Ga., Rosemary Day and her husband Daniel of Lynn, Maureen Wagg and her late husband Harry of Salem and Nancy A. Harrington and her husband Kevin of Beverly. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Colleen Leonard, Michael Leonard, Emily Day, Caroline Ruvido, Shawn McDonald, Katie Greehan and Marty Harrington; great-grandchildren, Bridget, William and Timothy Greehan, and Cailey and Kevin Harrington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband Martin and her parents, Ann is predeceased by her brother Frank P. Meagher and her sisters Eileen Czajkowski and Marilyn Foley.

Service information: Ann’s visiting hours will be in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral will be from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 9 a.m. Ann’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Pius V Church, Maple Street, Lynn, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
