Ann M. Leger, 69
LYNN — Ann M. (Burke) Leger, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at the age of 69.
Born in Lynn on June 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Mary G. (Miller) Burke. Ann was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Ann married Robert Leger in Lynn on Aug. 14, 1971 and the couple settled in Lynn to begin their family.
Ann was a dedicated mother and nursing assistant. She was a dedicated employee of the Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott for almost 40 years as well as in high-demand private home care aide providing services to many area families.
In her earlier years, Ann enjoyed music and bowling at Lucky Strike. Her childhood years were some of her fondest as she spent time in the grove in Hamilton as well as ice skating on Goldfish Pond.
Ann leaves her husband of 49 years, Robert Leger of Lynn; her daughters, Cara McDonough and her husband, Marty of Lynn, Danielle Cahill and her fiancé, Scott Joseph of Gloucester, and Erin Castro and her husband, Branor of Lynn; as well as her grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Madison, Andrew, Jason, Brianna, and Lidia. She also leaves her dearest doggy, Snippy.
Service information: Visiting hours will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
