Avid dancerMARBLEHEAD – Mrs. Ann (Witter) Cook, 75, of Marblehead, died Friday in Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Walter I. Cook.Born in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late Lawrie L. and Carolyn (Lowden) Witter. She was a graduate of the Brimmer and May School, Class of 1951 and later attended Centenary Junior College, where she received her Associates Degree in 1953.The Cooks were active with the Lancers Square Dance Club for many years, serving as President and First Lady in 1975 and also as Secretary and Treasurer. They also enjoyed Round Dancing and vacations in Maine.She leaves two children, Michael Cook of Salem and Marjorie Wetzel of Oakham. She was the loving grandmother of Gregory Cook and Julia Cook and mother-in-law of Andrea Cook of Salem.SERVICE INFORMATION: Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service in the EUSTIS & CORNELL Funeral Home, 142 Elm St. MARBLEHEAD on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Visitation period from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Gifts in Ann’s name may be sent to the charity of one’s choice. At the request of her family, burial will be private.
