Motta, M.D. has been elected President-Elect of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the statewide professional organization of physicians, at the Society’s annual meeting May 9 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.Dr. Motta, board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and nuclear cardiology, practices at North Shore Cardiovascular Associates, a private group practice in Salem. A member of the Medical Society since 1974, Dr. Motta has a long record of service to organization. He served as Vice President for the last year and was a member of the Board of Trustees and House of Delegates.Urban Elements Home and Yoga Studio on Oxford Street, Lynn, will host a mini health and wellness fair on June 7 from 3-7 p.m.The event will feature information about local services, along with snacks and beverages for visitors. Urban Elements has also agreed to donate 5 percent of sales during the month of June to the North Shore Medical Center’s Breast Cancer Research Department.In attendance at the event will be Marilyn Glazer-Weisner, Principal of MGW Consulting, who will be available to answer questions about breast cancer research and surviving cancer.Also in attendance will be massage therapist and nurse Tye Burrell Kurtik of Lynn, Maureen Kay of Airborne International, Dr. Brian Pace, a local chiropractor, Clinical Hypo therapist Marilyn Regan and Reiki Practitioner Anne Tabet who instructs Holistic Spirituality at North Shore Community College.Urban Elements was opened in 2007 and offers environmentally friendly products for home and interior design, including furniture.
