SWAMPSCOTT — Investigators have obtained video footage of Brian Walshe, the husband of missing Cohasset mother Ana Walshe, that appears to show him in close proximity to a dumpster located outside of Vinnin Liquors, according to WBZ Boston’s I-Team.
Vinnin Liquors, located at 371 Paradise Road, is across the street from The Landing At Vinnin Square, an apartment complex where Brian Walshe’s mother currently lives. An employee for Vinnin Liquors declined to comment on the video footage.
Ana Walshe was reportedly last seen the morning of Jan. 1. According to prosecutors, Brian Walshe said he left to visit his mother in Swampscott that same day.
He also told police that he got lost on the way and ran errands for his mother at CVS and Whole Foods, though no receipts or video surveillance show that he had been to either store.
On Monday, police secured a dumpster on the apartment complex property. It was taken away to a processing site to be searched for potential clues related to Ana Walshe’s disappearance. No report of evidence from this location was released to the public, but police recovered a number of items at a Peabody transfer station that could serve as potential evidence — including a hatchet, hacksaw, trash bags with blood, a rug and used cleaning supplies.
On Sunday, Brian Walshe was arrested and charged with misleading an investigation into Ana Walshe’s disappearance. No other charges have been made against him at the time of this report. Brian Walshe is being held on $500,000 bail.
