SAUGUS — A young adult male was pulled from the water at Upper Pond in the Breakheart Reservation Sunday evening in “grave condition,” State Police said.
State Police responded to a call for a person in distress at Upper Pond at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, said David Procopio, a State Police spokesman, in an e-mail. Saugus Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Police also responded.
First responders administered CPR to the man at the scene, and he was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Procopio said. The man is still alive, he said.
A spokesperson for Saugus police referred a request for comment to State Police.
