Several families living at the Lynn Housing Authority & Neighborhood Development’s Curwin Circle development will receive new beds, sheets, and pillows with funds raised by A Bed For Every Child at its annual Stephen D. Jones golf tournament at Juniper Hill Golf Course in Northborough.
“A Bed For Every Child is performing meaningful work,” said LHAND Executive Director Charles J. Gaeta. “It’s vital to a child’s development that they have a sound place to rest their head at night.”
At the event, some Curwin Circle children set up a lemonade stand to help raise money for this cause. All proceeds raised at the event went towards new beds for Lynn families. Beds will be delivered to the Curwin Circle recreation hall and distributed to Curwin Circle families in need.
“A Bed For Every Child is so pleased to partner with LHAND and Curwin Circle to ensure that children in need can receive a new bed of their own,” said Robyn Frost, Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless executive director.
A Bed For Every Child partners with businesses, schools and community organizations to provide beds for as many children in need as possible. Since the inception of the partnership between LHAND and a Bed For Every Child, 75 new beds have been donated to Curwin Circle youth.
