LYNN — The New American Association of Massachusetts, a Lynn-based organization that seeks to help immigrants and refugees, received a $100,000 grant from The Cummings Foundation, which will allow them to hire a new case manager.
The case manager will work to support Spanish-speaking immigrants in Lynn, which will allow them to service immigrants who did not previously meet the requirements for case management.
Natasha Soolkin, the executive director of NAAM, said receiving the grant from The Cummings Foundation meant that they “understand the needs of our community.”
In addition to case management, NAAM also offers English as a second language (ESL) courses, citizenship application assistance, employment services, and youth programs.
Soolkin emphasized that NAAM offers “everything possible” to help immigrants and refugees “not feel lonely and feel welcomed in the United States.”
