MARBLEHEAD — Voters will determine the outcome of six contested races, and two Proposition 2 ½ override ballot questions during the town’s annual election Tuesday.
All five incumbent Select Board members — Jackie Belf-Becker, Erin Noonan, Alexa Singer, Moses Grader, and James Ny — are up for re-election. The incumbents face two challengers, as James Full and Bret Murray are both running for Select Board seats.
The Select Board will oversee Ballot Question 1, an override for a five-year, $12.5 million road and sidewalk management program.
Tuesday’s election will also decide the results of a three-way race for two three-year School Committee seats with two challengers – those of committee members David Harris and Sarah Fox.
Additionally, Board of Health Director Helaine Hazlett will run for re-election, opposed by Thomas McMahon of One Gregory St.
For the one-year Moderator position, voters will choose between candidates John G. Attridge and Matthew Wolverton. Recreation and Park Commission Members will run unopposed.
Ballot question 2 is a Proposition 2 ½ tax override to provide an extra $3.1 million to the town’s School Department budget.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Registered voters in Precinct 1 can vote at Old Town House, One Market Square. Those residing in Precincts 2 and 3 can vote at Abbot Hall Auditorium, 188 Washington St, and those in Precincts 4, 5, and 6 can vote at the Judy and Gene Jacobi Community Center Gym on 10 Humphrey St.
