NAHANT — A 22-year-old woman who drowned in a pool here Tuesday afternoon has been identified as Elke Noblesse, a Netherlands woman who had been living in Nahant, according to the Essex district attorney’s office.
Noblesse was found unresponsive by Nahant police and fire who responded to the Cary Street Club at 89 Summer St. around 3 p.m. Tuesday. She was taken to Salem Hospital where she was pronounced dead, said Carrie Kimball, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, in a statement.
Foul play is not suspected in her death, Kimball said. The cause and manner of her death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Herb Motley, 79, who lives next door to the club, identified Noblesse as an au pair for a family living in the area who had visited the club Tuesday.
