Members of the Danvers Alarm List Company fire a volley at the Lexington Monument in Peabody in memorial for the seven Danvers men who were slain at the Jason Russell House in Arlington. The men marched 18 miles from Danvers to assist other militiamen in an attempt to attack British troops who were retreating back toward Boston after the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
Father Brian O'Hanlon tends to the fire during the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil at St. Mary's Church in Lynn. The flame is meant to symbolize the eternal life of Christ and will light candles representing Christ himself.
