LYNNFIELD — There are two contested races in Tuesday’s town election.
Voters in all four precincts will cast their ballots at Lynnfield High School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In the race for one seat on the Select Board, incumbent and Chair Richard P. Dalton is being challenged by Robert M. Gillon for a three-year term.
The School Committee race features three candidates for two seats seeking three-year terms. Chair Richard A. Sjoberg and Vice Chair Stacy A. Dahlstedt are running against challenger Corrie J. Luongo.
Town Clerk Linda Emerson said she will be at Town Hall at 5 a.m., to start election preparations while wardens David Crockett and Wendy LaRovere will be on hand to help.
“We’ve been preparing for this election for a long time, so now all that’s left is to get things packed up and put in place,” Emerson said. “The volunteers will be ready to go Tuesday so I am expecting a very smooth election.”
Running unopposed are: Richard J. O’Neil, Jr., three-year term for Board of Assessors; Brian R. Charville, five-year term for Planning Board; Joseph A. Markey, one-year term for town moderator; Faith C Honer-Coackley and Richard J. Mazzola, three-year term for Library Trustee, and Stephanie A. Petty, five-year term for Housing Authority.
