LYNN — Police are investigating after a car was shot multiple times and flying bullets struck two people inside a home on Cedar Street early Thursday morning.
Police responded to a shooting shortly after 4 a.m., and found two victims — a 21-year-old woman and 25-year-old man — inside a home at 20 Cedar St., said Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec.
Both had been shot and were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Kmiec said.
Kmiec said the suspects fired shots from outside the house, hitting a parked car multiple times on Cedar Street. Some of the shots went into the home, striking the two victims, he said.
“The investigation is still ongoing as to whether or not the car was the alleged target, and if the two individuals were just innocent victims,” said Kmiec.
No arrests have been made.
