To the editor:
On April 12, I am asking that you vote for me to retain my seat on the Select Board.
My wife, Carmela, and I moved to Lynnfield 38 years ago. From those early years right through to today, I have served on various boards and committees, both elected and appointed.
Despite the obligations that come with being a husband and father, and despite a demanding professional career, I have always made time to give back to the community that is our home.
Please consider the following accomplishments just this past year:
— The purchase of the Richardson Green property at no cost to the taxpayers
— A school building project that will come in on time and well under budget
— A budget for fiscal year 2023 for approval at Town Meeting that is fiscally responsible
— Rail Trail project regulatory and permitting approvals are being processed at the state and federal level
— Management of the Meeting House/Pope-Richard House with financial controls and procedures
— Implementing a plan for the $3.8 million in federal stimulus funds with an independent auditor retained to ensure compliance
For what I have accomplished this past year as chairman, and for my record over the past six years, I respectfully ask that you vote Dick Dalton on April 12.
Richard Dalton
