SAUGUS — A Lynn man was found with a stab wound to the chest early Sunday morning.
The Saugus Police Department (SPD) responded to a report of a disturbance in a Bristow Street residential driveway at approximately 3:05 a.m., said Police Chief Michael Ricciardelli.
Upon arrival, officers found a Lynn man in his late 20s, suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The officers provided the man with medical care at the scene, and he was transported by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His current condition is unknown.
The SPD is actively investigating the stabbing. The Massachusetts State Police Crime Prevention and Control unit was called to the scene to assist.
The SPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to call at 781-233-1740.
