Cody William Smith, 26, of 70 Ballard St., Apt 2, was arrested and charged with nighttime boat or motor vehicle breaking and entering for a felony, motor vehicle larceny, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and Class B drug possession at 5:48 p.m. Thursday.

A motor vehicle crash with injury was reported at 8:54 p.m. Thursday at York Ford Collision Center at 1497 Broadway. A caller reported a vehicle drove northbound against southbound traffic, pulled into the parking lot of the York Ford Collision Center and struck several parked vehicles. A 32-year-old man was arrested and taken in custody to Massachusetts General Hospital (see arrests).

At 10:52 p.m. Thursday, a caller from 27 Jasper St. reported hearing two gunshots. Police reported all was quiet in the area.
Theft
A report of an attempted motor vehicle theft at 5:48 p.m. Thursday at 11 Johnson St. A caller reported a man was attempting to steal his vehicle. A 26-year-old man was arrested (see arrests).
A report of a larceny at 6:12 p.m. Thursday at Best Buy at 1201 Broadway. A manager reported a man walked out of the store with several items and got into a car.

Complaints
A report of a neighbor problem at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at 60 Nason Road. A caller thought their neighbor had tried to poison their dog through a neighboring fence and wanted to speak with an officer.
A report of suspicious activity at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday on Galloupes Point Road. A caller reported a young man, who was wearing badges around his neck, was going door to door. The caller said the man appeared to be disoriented and was offering window-washing services.
