SAUGUS — A third person has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the murder of a man who was found dead in his Collins Avenue home on Dec. 11, the Essex County District Attorney’s office said.
Kiara Rosario, 26, of Chelsea, was arrested on Thursday and charged with accessory after the fact of an unarmed robbery. She pleaded not guilty during her arraignment Friday in Lynn District Court. Bail was set at $25,000 and, if posted, Rosario was ordered to remain under house arrest and wear a GPS device, the DA’s office said.
The charges against Rosario arise out of the investigation into the murder of Michael Norton, 26, of Saugus, who was found dead in his home at 44 Collins Ave., which is listed as the Essex Landing apartment complex. Norton’s body was found by his family members, the DA’s office said.
Rosario is the third person to be charged in connection with the homicide. Another woman, Angjeliki Hodaj, 33, of Saugus, was arraigned on a murder charge on Dec. 17 and remains held without bail, the DA’s office said.
A murder warrant has been issued for Jorge Delgado Medina, who was arraigned on Dec. 14 for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation and failure to stop following a police pursuit in Saugus that occurred on the morning of Dec. 13, the DA’s office said.
Delgado Medina had previously been identified as a person of interest in the homicide, but had not been charged with murder. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bail and a federal detainer. An arraignment date for the murder charge has not yet been scheduled, the DA’s office said.
The homicide remains under investigation by the Essex County District Attorney’s office, Saugus Police Department and Essex State Police Detective Unit.
