NAHANT
Arrests
Yemane Mesgoun, 38, of 37 Drake Road, Apt. 116, Arlington, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and Class B drug possession at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday.
Complaints
A coyote sighting was reported at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on Wharf Street. A caller reported that she and her kids were being stalked by a coyote. The caller said she had a rake, but was looking for assistance for the safety of her kids. An officer reported the coyote had gone into the woods.
At 2:47 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a man with long black, fuzzy hair was riding a bicycle and making motions like he was going to shoot at cars as they drove by on Nahant Road. The caller was upset because he had two young children in his car. The caller was unsure if the man had anything in his hands. Police arrested a 38-year-old man, who had initially refused to stop for officers (see arrests).
A report of suspicious activity at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday on Emerald Road. A caller reported her son found what appeared to be a spent round on the stove top. The caller said this followed an earlier instance of vandalism to a window at the residence.
