Maria Berganza, 30, of 30 Arlington St., Apt. 3, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle at 11:24 p.m. Monday. 

Kevin Bowes, of 1 Oak Hill Road, Fitchburg, was arrested on warrants and charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault, two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of resisting arrest, malicious wanton property defacement, trespassing, and civil-rights violation at 5:03 a.m. Tuesday. 

Nicholas Cunha, 42, was arrested and charged with Class A drug possession (subsequent offense) and violation of the city knife ordinance at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday. 

Anthony Rosato, of 56 Harrison Ave., Gloucester, was arrested on a warrant and charged with two counts of shoplifting by concealing merchandise at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday. 

Kimblia Woods, 44, of 119 Lewis St., was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace at 8:04 p.m. Monday. 


A report of a motor vehicle crash with injury at 2:34 p.m. Monday at Knights of Columbus Hall at 177 Lynnfield St.; at 4:35 p.m. Monday at 805 Boston St.  

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 3:08 p.m. Monday at Essex and Fayette streets; at 5:24 p.m. Monday at Laighton and Washington streets; at 6 p.m. Monday at 72 Washington St.; at 6:13 p.m. Monday at 62 Richardson Road; at 6:43 p.m. Monday at Market Basket at 40 Federal St. 

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 9:07 p.m. Monday at 24 Ocean St.    


A report of a gunshot at 2:24 p.m. Monday at 23 Allston St.  


A report of an opiate overdose at 4:06 p.m. Monday at 118 Chestnut St. 

A report of an overdose at 1:27 a.m. Tuesday at 119 Lewis St. 


A report of a larceny at 1:46 p.m. Monday at 445 Essex St.; at 5:17 p.m. Monday at 170 S Common St.; at 6:14 p.m. Monday at 86 Moulton St.; at 10:14 p.m. Monday at 312 Union St.  


A report of motor vehicle vandalism at 11:45 a.m. Monday at 41 Stewart St.; at 6:34 p.m. Monday at 28 Lovett Place. 



A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 1:50 p.m. Monday on Atlantic Avenue. 



A coyote sighting was reported at 7:20 a.m. Sunday at Nahant Road and Wharf Street. A caller reported a coyote was following a dog walker in the street. The coyote eventually left the area. 

Another coyote sighting was reported at 8:57 a.m. Monday at Short Beach Playground. A caller reported the coyote appeared to have killed two cats. 


A house fire was reported at 10:03 a.m. Monday on Ocean Street. The Lynn Fire dispatch reported a chair was on fire at the location. Police reported the fire was put out. 



George A. Panopoulos, 56, of 120 Lowell St., was arrested and charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle; malicious destruction of property under $1,200; assault and battery; and intimidating a witness, juror, police officer or court official at 1:44 p.m. Monday.  


A report of a motor vehicle crash at 3:32 p.m. Monday at Auto Factory at 156 Newbury St.; at 3:41 p.m. Monday at 37 Walnut St. and 20 Wallis St.; at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday at 2 Carlton St. and 81 Lynn St.  

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 4:02 p.m. Monday at 72 Central St. 

A car into a tree was reported at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday at 260 Washington St. and 2 Hourihan St. The Department of Public Works checked on the street and the car was towed. 


A road rage incident was reported at 1:44 p.m. Monday at The NexMex Thing at 77 Main St. A 56-year-old man was arrested (see arrests). 

A report of suspicious activity at 9:29 p.m. Monday at 149 Realty Trust at 149 Main St. A caller reported someone had tried to climb her fire escape and was potentially trying to get into her home. Police reported the person was gone upon arrival. 

A report of a disturbance at 11:07 p.m. Monday at Pete’s A Place at 19A Central St. A caller reported a woman was punching a man in the middle of the street. An officer reported the person had just learned about a death in the family and was being consoled by his girlfriend. 


A report of a larceny at 5:46 p.m. Monday at 15 Farnham Ave. A caller reported jewelry and money was stolen.
