Arrests 

Joab Camilo, 40, of 198 Williams Ave., was arrested and charged with OUI liquor at 11:59 p.m. Thursday. 

Jayron Mendez, 23, of 126 Hamilton Ave., was arrested and charged with OUI liquor and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 11:11 p.m. Thursday. 

Kosal Nhin, 41, of 44 Arlington St., was arrested and charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, Class A drug possession, Class B drug possession, firearm possession without a firearm identification card, unlawful improper storage of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammo without a firearm identification card at 6:39 a.m. Friday.

Luis A. Guridys, 20, of 4 Silverleaf Way, Apt. 421, was arrested on a courtesy booking at 3:19 a.m. Friday. 

Christina E. Mackin, 31, of 82 Avalon Drive, was arrested on three warrants at 6:11 p.m. Thursday. 

Deborah Mertsch, 51, of 177 Boston St., Salem, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor and marked lanes violation at 7:32 a.m. Friday. 

Donald A. Ruby, 53, of 16 Silverleaf Way, Apt. 16310, was arrested and charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, trafficking 36 grams or more but less than 10 grams of cocaine, trafficking 100 grams or more but less than 200 grams of methamphetamine, and Class E drug distribution at 2:19 p.m. Thursday.

A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 2:03 p.m. Thursday at Speedway at 545 Lowell St. 

Complaints 

At 9:48 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported a peacock was roaming the area of Route 1 at 295 Forest St. and 133 Newbury St., which was causing a traffic hazard. An officer notified the homeowner to tell him to wrangle his peacock. Police reported the owner has been repeatedly told to clip his peacock’s wings; police planned to notify the health department, which could revoke the man’s right to own a peacock. 

A report of suspicious activity at 11:54 a.m. Thursday at 73 Andover St. A caller reported a woman had stolen his pumpkin and put her pumpkin in its place. The woman told police her daughter’s pumpkin had not been fit for her school project that night, and she had liked the victim’s pumpkin better so she swapped it out. The victim did not want the suspect’s pumpkin at his house and gave it to an officer for the investigation. Police returned the suspect’s pumpkin to her house, confiscated the victim’s pumpkin and returned it to the victim’s home without incident.  

Theft 

A report of a stolen motor vehicle at 11:12 a.m. Friday at 20 Jordan Road.

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 9:36 p.m. Thursday at 14 Roland Road. A vehicle was egged.
