NAHANT — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-car crash that sent one of the cars through the fence and yard of a home on Nahant Road, police said.
The crash occurred in the area of 233 Nahant Road shortly before 4 p.m.
Initial reports indicated one of the cars had struck a nearby home, but upon arrival, police found that no structures beyond the fence were struck or damaged, police said.
One of the two elderly women in the car had to be extricated by the Nahant Fire Department. Both women were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
An adult passenger in the other car was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. That car’s other occupants — an adult and three children — were not injured in the crash, police said.
The crash is under investigation by the Nahant Police Department.
