School Sports Roundup: St. Mary’s boys soccer blows out Arlington Catholic

The offense came to play for the St. Mary's boys soccer team Wednesday afternoon, as the Spartans raced out to a big lead early and rolled to an 8-0 win over Catholic Central League foe Arlington Catholic at Manning Field.

The Spartans took a 5-0 lead in the first half, getting goals from Ryan Fraher, Connor Hamel, Nick Miller, Richard LeBrun and Derek Garcia to take control of the game. After Miller added his second of the game and Jacob Guarino and Chance Bonfanti each found the back of the net, the Spartans coasted to the big league win and got back to .500 for the season.

St. Mary's (3-3-0) takes on KIPP Saturday morning (10).
